February 2011

Moving Day Jan 22, 2010

Moving day was hectic and somewhat emotional...for me. The house in Cincinnati was one that I truely believed that we would raise our kids in. We brought both Lauren and Christopher home from the hospital to this house. It's a beautiful house in a wonderful neighborhood. I am going to miss it and the friends we made while there. Some of Lauren's best friends were next door and down the street. Lauren however, was more than excited for the adventure ahead. She was looking forward to moving to a new house and has had no trouble adjusting. She's in preschool and after her first day the teacher said that Lauren had acted like she had been there all year! She's already made friends with a girl across the street and she loves our new house. What a trooper!

Christopher's 4 month Check-up

Christopher was 15 lbs, 9 oz and 25 3/4 inches long at his 4 month check-up. A growing boy!! He is able to roll over too!

Playing Together, January 2011

The sweetest thing is seeing my beautiful kids playing together!

Christopher's Baptism

Christopher was baptized on December 26, 2010 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney, Ohio. His godparents are Mike and Jodi Bodiker. Christopher's baptismal gown was the same gown that his great-great grandpa wore at his baptism in the 1800's. It was Judge Harry Wittenbrinks baptismal gown.

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Vornholt's house. Aunt Amanda, Chloe and Uncle Brad flew in to celebrate too!

FINALLY an Update!

Boy has it been an eventfull two, almost three months!!! When I posted the last post on Dec 13, I had no idea what the next two months had in store for our family. It has been busy and rewarding and exciting to say the least. As I sit at my dining room table in Pittsburgh, PA I think back and wonder how we did it! Mark was offered a job in Pittsburgh that we just couldnt refuse. So began our search for a home. For the next 5 out of 6 weekends we traveled to Pittsburgh, kids in tow, in the "dead of winter" as Pittsburghians like to call it, to look for a rental house somewhere in Pittsburgh. It was a long, trying task but in the end we found a house in an amazing neighborhood with wonderful neighbors to welcome us! Lauren is in preschool and we are getting settled in.
