Mark and I have always planned on having 3 or 4 kids, as long as we dont screw up the first few. So why I decided to name this blog "Life of Lauren Elizabeth" is beyond me (I'll blame it on pregnancy). Anyway, now that Christopher is due in 34 days I have run into a problem. Mark thinks I should start a new blog and move all the pictures from this one to a new one that includes our family name, not just Lauren's. His other alternative is starting a new one for each child. Again, I want 4 and he probably wants dinner every night so that's not going to happen. My point is we'll keep the web address and change the title to "The Opitz Family". Stay tuned, we will introduce Lauren's little brother in a few weeks! We are so excited to meet Christopher Ethan Opitz.

University of Notre Dame

On Sunday we went to ND to see campus. We stopped at the bookstore to get Lauren some gear and her two criteria for clothing were 1) it had to have pink on it and 2) it had to have the ND logo on it. Anyway, as you can see she is ready for football season and has matching hats with Daddy!

Maya's 1st Birthday Party

We went to Indiana for Maya's first birthday party this weekend. Lauren got to teach Maya how to play ring around the rosie and how to play with her new toys...

My Little Fish

Lauren and Mommy have been at the pool A LOT this summer, its been a huge relief from the heat and humidity. Lauren has become quite the fish in water. She took swimming lessons and at her last class the teacher let them jump off the diving board. It took some encouragement but she did it and she loved it! She has learned to float, blow bubbles and put her head under water. She also jumps in without mommy catching her!

KMK Family Picnic at Coney Island

Lauren had so much fun at the Coney Island Picnic this year. She was finally allowed to ride the rollercoaster (with Dad) and was very excited about it, she even put her hands up in the air. She had lots of fun with her friend Veronica who also LOVED the rides.

Lauren found an inflatable obstacle course at the Cherry Festival and had a blast climbing through it.

Lauren's 3rd Birthday

Lauren turned 3 on June 29, but it's taken me a while to update her blog. Somehow the summer has seemed to fly by! Anyway, we had a birthday party at Grandma and Grandpa V's and lots of family came. Lauren chose a Mickey Mouse theme and loved wearing her Mickey Mouse hat.
